Dorothy (Brock) Harris was born on September 18, 1914, to parents Frank and Anna Brock in Lehigh, Iowa. At the age of six months she moved with her family to Hazel Run, Minnesota. Dorothy was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and she graduated from high school in Clarkfield, Minnesota. She married Stanley Harris in 1936 and they made their home in Hanley Falls, Minnesota. Dorothy was an active member of her church, Sunday School teacher, Ladies Aid, Bible Study and quilting. She also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary, Study Club, Homemakers and volunteered for numerous other organizations and functions in the community. She enjoyed family gatherings, crossword puzzles, playing bridge and other card games with friends and being active in Senior Citizens. Dorothy passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming, at the age of 93 years, 11 months and 23 days. She is survived by her daughter Linda (Gale) Anderson of Cheyenne; daughter-in-law Kerri Harris of Laguna Niguel, California; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister Virginia Brantman of Kansas City, Kansas, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley; her son, Denny; her sister, Frieda Engel and her brother Donald Brock. Blessed be her memory.
