Doris E. Poulson, 83, formerly of Canby, died Monday, September 28, 1992, at the Clarkfield Care Center. Doris E. Rassmusson was born May 28, 1909, to Martin and Gusta Miller Rassmusson in Yellow Medicine County on a farm between Canby and Porter. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. After attending country school she worked at the Broadway Cafe, which her parents owned. She also worked as a waitress at Nye's in Marshall, Minnesota. As a girl, she and a friend participated in horse racing and trick riding at county fairs. She married Ed Poulson in 1966 and they lived in Marshall, Minnesota. He passed away in 1976 and she moved into an apartment complex. She had lived at the Clarkfield Care Center since 1982 and was a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Mrs. Poulson is survived by Jan (Johnson) Uggla and her family; an aunt, Sadie Rassmusson; a cousin, Millie Rewerts; and several nieces, nephews and other cousins. Mrs. Poulson was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and three sisters, Lola Olufson, Pearl Mohn and Marion Reynolds. Burial was in Wergeland Cemetery of rural Porter, Minnesota.
