Doris Elaine (Ernst) Meyer was born April 1, 1923 at Adair, Iowa to Henry and Pearl (Long) Ernst. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended school in Clarkfield, MN. On December 14, 1941, Doris married Eugene Meyer. She worked for six years at the Long Cafe after moving to Hazel Run. After moving to Hazel Run in 1965, she was an active member of the Hazel Run Lutheran Church. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, WELCA and served as janitor. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and woodworking. She passed away Monday, March 1, 1999 at her home. Doris is survived by her children: Derrald & Sandee Meyer, Long Lake; Norman & Sherrie Meyer, Mound; and Kathy Meyer of Hazel Run. Grandchildren: Kimberlee & Joe Linder, Mound; Kirk & Toni Meyer, Lakeville; Kent & Kathy Meyer, Woodbury; Kristen & Brent Nolby, Monticello; Matthew Meyer, Plymouth and Michelle Meyer, Hazel Run. Great Grandchildren: Jessica, Sammijo & Breanna Linder, McKenna & Laken Meyer and Ben Meyer. Her parents, husband Eugene in 1997, son Galen in 1973, one sister and brother-in-law, and one brother and sister-in-law preceded her in death. Blessed be her memory.
