Dora Mathilda Haga, 84, of Clarkfield, died Saturday, December 11, 1993, at the Clarkfield Care Center in the presence of her husband, Magnus, daughter, Carol and Pastor Mesner. Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 15, 1993, at Bergen Lutheran Church, Stony Run Township with Pastor David Mesner officiating. Organist was Janet Gabrielson and vocal soloist was Joyce Mesner. Casket bearers were Steve Schlenner, Tim Schlenner, Scott Hoepner, Mark Nordahl, Larry Schuler and Richard Rosetter. Honorary casket bearers were Kari Haga, Douglas Lane, John Haga and Martin Lane. Interment was in the Bergen Lutheran Church Cemetery, Stony Run Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. Dora Mathilda Rosetter was born in Stony Run Township on September 26, 1909 to Lewis C. and Bertina Rosetter. She was baptized on October 24, 1909, by Rev. Salhus and confirmed by Rev. Haugeland at Bergen Lutheran Church. Dora went to elementary school at District 4, about a mile from her home. She continued her education at Granite Falls High School until the death of her mother, at which time she quit school to care for her younger sisters and brothers. On New Years Day of 1931 she was married to Magnus Haga at the Rosetter family home, by Rev. Haugeland. Dora liked being an active member of the Bergen Ladies Aid for many years. She loved visiting with her sisters and brothers, trips to Norway, visiting children and grandchildren, gardening and homemaking. She worked at the corn factory and Montevideo Bakery for several years. Dora is survived by her husband, Magnus; three children, Carol Schlenner of Wood Lake, Curtis Haga of Eden Prairie and Judy Lane of Powell, Wyoming; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Orda Engel and brother Lyle Rosetter. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Agnes Eid, Clara Jacobson, Ellen Clemetson; brothers, Clarence, Roy and Adolph Rosetter.
