Donna M. (Nelson) Coubal (March 28, 1940 ~ September 29, 2010) Donna M. (Nelson) Coubal was born March 28, 1940 at Faribault, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Delmar and Marie (Petersen) Nelson. She attended school at Atwater, Minnesota. Donna was the mother of five children: Lorie Jo, Timothy Allen, Kristi Lee, Rick Allen, and Kathryn Marie. Donna raised her family in Montevideo where she worked for many years as an Elementary School cook and then at Innovex until she retired. Donna and Louis Coubal were married on February 11, 1989, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo. They made their home in Montevideo. Her love was her family! She loved embroidery, making cards, going to the Casino, garage sales and especially just sitting in the sun. She also loved to travel and attended many local sporting events with her husband. She enjoyed professional sports-especially the Twins. She liked family get-togethers and going to the lake. Donna passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at the Granite Falls Hospital surrounded by her family at the age of 70 years and 6 months. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Lou; her children: Lorie Jo (Scott) Johnson, Timothy Allen Vorvick, Kristi Lee (Tom) Warner, Rick Allen (Sarah) Vorvick and Kathryn Marie (Tom) Cudahy; 16 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother-in- law Dorothy Coubal, Lou's family and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; great grandson Lucas Richard Vorvick; father and mother-in-law Joe and Ernie Coubal; brothers-in-law Glen Haugerud and Mike Coubal. Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family. Blessed be her memory.
