Obituary

Donna Mae Kopitzke, the sixth child of Henry Kopitzke and his wife, Judith (Reese) Kopitzke was born on June 25th, 1944, in Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith as an infant in St. John's Lutheran Church, Rev. A.W. Fuerstenau officiating. All her life she was unable to lead a normal life like other children. On June 3rd, 1953, the Lord saw fit to take her from this vale of tears unto Himself in heaven. She departed this life at the age of eight years, eleven months and nine days. She received Chruistian burial from St. John's Lutheran Church, Omro Township, Rev. R.H. Lawrenz officiating. She was laid to rest in the church cemetery. She was carried to her last resting place by four young men of the congregation, namely Marvin Pipke, David Wiegers, DuWayne Galow and James Fenske. She leaves to mourn her departure her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kopitzke; two brothers: Harold and Donald; and four sisters: Norma, Dorothy, Lilah and Evelyn. All the children are still at home on the family residence in Omro. She also is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins, and a large host of friends that knew her during her few years on this earth. May the Lord grant her a peaceful rest until the last day when all those who are His own shall come unto Him in heaven.
