Donald Claire Wilson was born at Hazel Run on August 4, 1920, to Herbert and Maye O. (Brekke) Wilson. He was baptized at Bergen Lutheran Church. Don started school in Hazel Run and was confirmed at Hazel Run Lutheran as a young man. He graduated from Clarkfield High School. C. Lorraine Olson and Don were married on December 11, 1943, in St. Paul, Minnesota. Three children were born to them, Clair, Janet, and Laurel. Don loved to travel and fish. He enjoyed reading and music. They farmed near Hazel Run. Lorraine died July 12, 1974. On June 10, 1978, he married Corliss Schwerin in Hazel Run. They lived on the farm in the summer and spent the winters at Denham Springs, Louisania. One year ago they moved to Willmar, Minnesota. Don died at his home in Willmar on September 25, 1992 at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife, Corliss; son, Clair A. and wife Lynda; daughter, Janet K. Westre and husband Lane; daughter, Laurel M. Lukken and husband David; seven grandchildren, Chad and wife Sue Wilson, Traci Wilson, Aaron Westre, Nathan Lukken, Brian Westre, Nicholas Lukken, Carrie Westre; two step children, Jeremy Frank and Cindy Trischman; four step grandchildren, Heather, David, Christopher and Zachery; brothers, Curtis and wife Helen, Leslie and wife Judy; and sister, Lila Lynne and husband Richard; and sister-in-law Camilla Wilson. Don was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lorraine, and brother Herbert Wilson.
