Deloryce (Severson) Hanson passed away on Sunday, September 23, 1990, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital in Montevideo, Minnesota. She was 74 years of age. Deloryce was born on July 21, 1916, to Elmer and Alma (Hanson) Severson in Swede Prairie Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She received her elementary education in rural country school District #99 and graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1935. She married Howard M. Hanson on July 31, 1941, in Cottonwood, Minnesota, and lived on a farm in Swede Prairie Township until 1965 when they moved to Clarkfield, Minnesota. Deloryce was baptized and confirmed in St. Lucas Lutheran Church of Normania Township where she was a lifelong member. Deloryce was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a compassionate grandmother. She loved her flowers and was a good homemaker. Deloryce is survived by her husband, Howard of Clarkfield; her daughter, Liane of Clarkfield; her daughter, Ruth Ann and husband John Schmidt of Marshall, Minnesota; three grandchildren, James, Amy and Emilie; two sisters, Mrs. Arlo (Arleen) Hawkinson of Cottonwood, Minnesota, and Mrs. Clifton (Erma) Ellingson of Marshall; one brother, Luverne Severson and his wife of Cottonwood; her sisters-in-law, Bertha Hanson of Cottonwood, Mrs. Joe (Charlotte) Hoff of Cottonwood and Mrs. Leslie (Una Marie) Lamb of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Deloryce in death were her parents.
