Deloris Eunice (Runyon) Berg was born on December 9, 1924, to parents Rollie and Alma (Rhyne) Runyon in Dawson, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1942. Following graduation from Cosmetology School in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she worked as a beautician in Minneapolis and Canby, Minnesota. In 1955, she opened "Dea's Beauty Shoppe" in Clarkfield, which she operated until 1973. On January 11, 1946, she was united in marriage to Telford Berg at Augustana Lutheran Church in Clarkfield. After Telford returned from serving in the Navy, during WWII, they lived on the family farm until moving to Clarkfield in 1997. Deloris passed away on Friday, June 8, 2007, at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at the age of 82 years and 6 months. She is survived by her husband, Telford of Clarkfield and daughters: Linda (John) Lattimore and Diane (Richard) Olson both of Minneapolis. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Stacey (Thomas) Simmons, Kelly (Sean) Thompson, Scott (Tera) Olson, Christy (Brent) Johnson, and Alison (Jon Madson) Olson; seven great-grandchildren: Nicholas and Jessa Thompson, Jack Simmons, Brendan Olson, Isabella, Annika and Ellaina Olson; and two sisters: Ruth Bebout of Renton, Washington, and Rhodenna (Ardath) Johnson of Pierz, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters: Viola Jane Runyon (in infancy) , Dorothy Heinz, Vesta Kaupang, Charlotte Quammen, Marjorie Moen; and brother Rhodean Runyon. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed by all.
