Delmore Ellsworth Johnson was born August 5, 1917, in Normania Township to Alfred B. and Delia (Froland) Johnson. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Lucas Lutheran Church rural Cottonwood, Minnesota. He graduated from Clarkfield High School, Clarkfield, Minnesota, in 1935. Being in ill health most of his adult life he spent the last 17 years in the Canby Senior Haven in Canby, Minnesota. He passed away at the Canby Hospital on July 15, 1991, at the age of 73 years. Survivors include two brothers, Vernon of Cottonwood, Minnesota, Lewellyn of Tracy, Minnesota; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
