Delia Froland Johnson was born November 22, 1895, at Cottonwood, Minnesota, the daughter of Peter and Jacobine (Willie) Froland. She was baptized at St. Lucas Lutheran Church and had a life membership in the A.L.C.W. On November 26, 1914, she was married to Alfred Johnson at her parents' home in Vallers Township of Lyon County. She lived in the Cottonwood area all of her life. She passed away July 5, 1977, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota. She is survived by three sons: Delmore of Canby, Vernon and wife Gloria of Cottonwood, and Lewellyn and wife Doris of Tracy; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters: Pearl and Ruth Froland of Marshall, Mrs. Laura Moores of Windom, and Mrs. Frances Krogsgtad of Springfield, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
