IN LOVING MEMORY OF

November 6, 1938 – February 9, 2003
Darryl Oscar Anderson was born November 6, 1938, at Clarkfield, Minnesota, to parents Oscar and Elsie (Galow) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at Swede Home Lutheran Church. Darryl graduated from Clarkfield High School and attended Vocational School for two years studying vehicle restoration and mechanics. He also spent two years in California following high school, helping make jet planes. Darryl married JoAnn (Dhaene) in June of 1960. They were the parents of Douglas, Daren and Randy. Darryl and Shirley (Brakke) were married on April 29, 1970. To this marriage were born: Carla, Lonny, Roxanna, Dawn, Allyson, and Chad. Darryl enjoyed his years of farming and over-the-road trucking. The family made their home in Marshall, Minnesota, in 1975. In August of 2002, he was diagnosed with cancer, a battle he fought with much courage. He passed away at the home of his daughter, Carla, on Sunday evening, February 9, 2003, at the age of 64 years, 5 months and 3 days. He is survived by his wife Shirley of Marshall; his mother Elsie of rural Minneota, Minnesota; and his children: Randy (and Becky) Anderson of Minneota, Minnesota, Carla (and Bruce) Timmerman of Rochester, Minnesota; Lonny Anderson of Marshall, Minnesota, Roxanna (and Mark) Becker of Balaton, Minnesota, Dawn (and Owen) Moon of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Allyson Anderson of Rochester, Minnesota, and Chad Anderson of Marshall, Minnesota. Also surviving are his 13 grandchildren; brother Ray (and Marilyn) Anderson; sister LaVilla (and Arlin) Jibben; and brother Larry (and Jeannine) Anderson. Preceding him in death were his father, Oscar; sons Douglas (as an infant) and Daren; wife JoAnn; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Darryl loved fishing, dancing and admiring his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
