Darlene M. (Weber) Westre (November 17, 1938 ~ November 21, 2012) Darlene Mary Weber was born on November 17, 1938, at the Canby Hospital to parents Henry and Magdalen (Kockelman) Weber. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Leo Catholic Church. Darlene graduated from Canby High School in 1957. Darlene was united in marriage to Cesyl Westre on June 28, 1961. They were blessed with two children: son Michael and daughter Jody. Cesyl and Darlene lived in Clarkfield. Dar worked at the local grocery store and she and Cesyl owned Westre Trucking. In February of 1977, Darlene started working at the Clarkfield Care Center and continued to work there part time. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved playing cards and watching sports of all kinds, especially her beloved Minnesota Vikings. She chauffeured grandchildren, loved entertaining (the best cook around!) and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed many trips to WeFest and Vikings Training Camp. Darlene passed away on Wednesday, November 21st after suffering a major stroke. She reached the age of 74 years and 4 days. She is survived by Jody (Westre) Jensen, Darrin, Alexis, Olivia and Morgan; daughter-in-law, Sally (Mensink) Westre; Tracie (Westre) Fonkert, Eric and Gabrielle; Angie (Westre) Sell, Jeremiah, Jordan, Kayne and Zeb. She is also survived by sister, Lucille (Weber) Hoffman and Norbert; sister- in-law, Sonja (Mitlyng) Westre; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lena (Kockelman) Weber; her father and mother-in-law, Walter and Pheme (Thomton) Westre; her husband, Cesyl (1985); son Michael (2002); brother, Marvin; sister-in-law, Dorothy; brother-in-law, Earl Westre; nephew, Eugene Hoffman and special friend, Jack Thomsen.
