Darcy Blair Koepp was born on April 20, 1964, at the Rice Hospital in Willmar, Minnesota, to parents Douglas T. and Nancy B. (Blair) Koepp. He was baptized as an infant at Zion Lutheran Church and later confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church of Willmar. He attended and graduated from Willmar Senior High in 1982. He married Lisa Garberding on April 27, 1984. This union was blessed with a son, Kody Blair Koepp. Darcy loved the country. As a young boy, he would ride his bike from Willmar and spend the entire summer with his Grandpa Koepp. He loved the outdoors; he loved hunting and in August of this year he took his son bear hunting and shot a 400 pound bear. Darcy loved to snowmobile; ride four wheeler; race cars; he spent several years racing at the Madison Speedway. He loved campfires and spending time with family, cousins, and friends. He always wanted the best for Kody. Darcy worked for Apol's Harley Davidson of Raymond, Minnesota, Action Auto Parts and for the past seven years he had been working for Bob Tholen at Tholen Auto in Marshall, Minnesota. At the time of his death "Darc" was making a 'truck run'. He passed away on Saturday evening, October 14, 2000, at El Centra, California, at the age of 36 years, 5 months, and 24 days. He is survived by his son, Kody, age 10 of Lake Lillian, Minnesota; his parents Doug and Nancy Koepp of Willmar; and his sister Stacy and her husband Tim Pollock and their children Bethany and Seth, also of Willmar. He is also survived by his grandmother Alma Koepp of Clarkfield, Minnesota; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents George and June Blair and Reuben Koepp. Darcy loved life. He touched the hearts of many and his memory will remain forever.
