Danford Lefue Thompson, son of Levi and Danena (Danielson) Thompson, was born July 2, 1899, in Hazel Run Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was baptized in infancy by Rev. J.S. Strand and confirmed by Rev. John J. Salhus in the Hazel Run Lutheran Church. He was united in marriage to Gina Hognestad, also of Hazel Run Township, on January 27th, 1923. To this union, one son, Duane Curtis, and one daughter, Marjorie Ann, were born. Danford Thompson was called to his heavenly home at 4:15 p.m., Saturday, October 14th, 1950, at the Montevideo Hospital, Montevideo, Minnesota, at the age of 51 years, 3 months and 12 days. He leaves to mourn his departure his loving wife, Gina; son, Duane, and daughter-in-law, Ruth; daughter, Marjorie; and sister, Theoline (Mrs. Melvin Hegna). He was preceded in death by his father, Levi; mother, Danena Maria; sisters: Alma (Mrs. Bennie Mikelson), Esther (Mrs. Alvin Isaacs) and Laura. He was a kind and loving husband and father.
