Cyrus Joel Stenson was born on the family farm in Lisbon Township, March 23, 1916, to Alfred and Regina Agre Stenson. At Bergen Lutheran Church, Cyrus was baptized in April of 1916 and confirmed October 12, 1930. He attended country school District 26 and Clarkfield High School. Cyrus enjoyed fishing and being with his family, nieces and nephews. He farmed in Lisbon Township. Cyrus died on Monday, July 20, 1992, at the age of 76 in the Clarkfield Care Center. He is survived by sisters, Nora Johnson of Poulsbo, Washington, and Evelyn Tongen and her husband Lucius of Clarkfield; and brother, Arden Stenson and his wife Evelyn of Alexandria; nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Lawrence Johnson.
