Craig A. Husby was born on June 13, 1951, in the Clarkfield Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota, to parents Orville and Elise (Westre) Husby. He was baptized on July 8, 1951, and confirmed on May 29, 1966, in the Clarkfield Lutheran Church. He was a lifetime member. Craig graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1969 and attended one year of college at Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota. Over the years he worked for Mooney Construction, Dawson Mills, and AMPI. Craig enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycles, woodworking, working on cars, and spending time with family and friends. He had his own home in Dawson, Minnesota, until he became a resident of the University Good Samaritan Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He passed away on Thursday, October 14, 1999, at the age of 48 years, 4 months and 1 day. Craig was preceded in death by his father, Orville in 1960. He is survived by his mother, Elise Husby; brother Wes and wife Sharon Husby of Clarkfield; sister Dagne (Husby) Smiens and husband Arnie of Montevideo, Minnesota; nephews: Chad (and Kristi) Husby and Jeremy Smiens; neices: Kim (Husby) and husband Joe Flattum, Michelle (Smiens) Anspach, Shelly (Husby) Larson and husband Todd, Carrie (Smiens) White and husband Todd. He is also survived by three grand nieces and four grand nephews; aunts Gladys (Westre) Jurgenson and Lyle Husby; and numerous cousins. Blessed be his memory.
