Cora Sather, 91, passed away at the Weiner Memorial Nursing Home in Marshall, Minnesota, on Friday, September 16, 1988. Funeral services for Cora Sather were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 1988, from Christ Lutheran Church of Cottonwood, Minnesota. Officiating was Dr. Arthur W. Holmes. Organist was Randy Morken with vocal music by lone Knudson, Brenda Olson and Margaret Rewerts. Final Resting Place was in the Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Cottonwood, Minnesota, and serving as Casket Bearers were Douglas Anderson, James Isaackson, Ralph Olson, Jr., John Rewerts, James Runholt and William Snyder. Cora Sather, daughter of Christian and Ovida (Runholt) Sather was born June 27, 1897, in rural Cottonwood. She was baptized and confirmed in the old Silo Church by Rev. Haugen. She attended Cottonwood Public Schools and the University of Minnesota from which institution she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in music in 1919. Cora played the organ at Christ Lutheran Church of Cottonwood for many years and also taught organ and piano. Cora was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Oscar, and one sister, Ella.
