Cora Erickson was born on May 12, 1915, at Berry Creek, Alberta, Canada, to parents Joseph and Gina (Osness) Knutson. In 1925, the family moved to Domremy, Saskatchewan, and later to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Cora married Marvin Erickson on April 27, 1943. They resided on their farm near Minneota, Minnesota, until Marvin passed away in April of 1977. In 1987 she moved to Cottonwood, Minnesota, and in 2001 to Duluth, Minnesota, to live with her daughter and her daughter's husband. Always grateful and gracious, when asked about her life she would reply, "God always made sure I had good people around me." Cora passed away at her home in Duluth on Thursday, January 17, 2008, at the age of 92 years, 8 months and 5 days. She leaves to mourn her daughter Elaine (and Per) Wickstrom of Duluth, Minnesota; her son Wayne of Park Rapids, Minnesota; and four grandsons: Troy (and Cathy) Erickson and Brandon (and Kristy) Erickson of Duluth, Minnesota, Siver (and Vanessa) Erickson of Cottonwood, Minnesota, and Justin (and Kari) Erickson of Ramsey, Minnesota; and great grandchildren: Bailey, Arianna, Daniel, Hayley, Jayda, Carson, Cale, and Cadence Erickson and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin and brother Arthur Knutson and baby sister Ellen Knutson. Blessed be her memory.
