Comfort Harriet (Haaland) Quesnell July 28, 1914 ~ July 12, 2013 Comfort Quesnell passed away on July 12, 2013, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 98 from large cell endocrine carcinoma of the lung. She was born at the farm home of her parents, Sarah Johanna (Lund) and Elmer O. Haaland on July 28, 1914, Clarkfield, Minnesota. She was baptized, confirmed and married in the Norwegian Lutheran Church in Clarkfield. On September 23, 1939, she was married to Donald B. Quesnell. After moving to San Antonio, Texas, in October of 1998 she joined Coker United Methodist Church as an associate member, but maintained membership in Clarkfield Lutheran Church. Comfort was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Quesnell; parents, Sarah and Elmer Haaland; three younger siblings: baby brother, Erling Luther, brother, Erling Stanley Haaland and sister, Mavis Sina (Haaland) Kramer; and many aunts and uncles. Comfort is survived by her children: Donald Bruce Quesnell and wife, Gwen, Sharon Lutricia (Quesnell) Saxer and husband, Charles. She was especially proud of her three grandsons, Steven Paul Saxer (Karen), Grant Donald Quesnell (Veronica), and David Andrew Quesnell (Rebecca). Her three great-grandchildren brought special joy to her life, Maarken Alexander Saxer, Taya Nicole Saxer and Abigail Marie Quesnell. She always enjoyed hearing from her nieces and nephews: Earl Haaland, Daniel Haaland, Julie (Haaland) Drummerhausen, Christopher Kramer, Karsten Kramer, Kari (Kramer) Reimers and many great-nieces and nephews.
