Clyde Donald Korstad was born September 6, 1926, to Daniel and Selma (Haakenson) Korstad in Ten Mile Lake Township of Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Johns Lutheran Church of Boyd. He entered military service October 1, 1944, and served in Europe during World War II. He received an honorable discharge August 9, 1946. He was a member of the American Legion, Oien-Horgen Post 198 of Boyd. On June 15, 1947, he was united in marriage to Mildred Erickson. To this union seven children were born: Donald, Ardys, Roger, Mark, Candace, Kent and Clydeen. Clyde passed away Sunday, September 23, 1973, as a result of an automobile accident at the age of 50 years. He is survived by his children, his parents, one brother, Hilman, and one sister, Blanche (Mrs. Harold Benson) of Boyd, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Sheridan, Earl and Eldor. IN MEMORY OF CLYDE D.
