Clifford Arnold Christensen was born in Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, on February 9, 1912, the son of Herman and Thea (Swenson) Christensen. He was baptized and confirmed at Spring Creek Lutheran Church. On December 23, 1933, he was united in marriage to Clara T. Stokke by Rev. Madland of Cottonwood. Their two children are Orla, who lives in Vermillion, South Dakota, and Erling, who lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with his wife Carol and two children, Jeff and Karen. Clifford farmed for many years and at the age of 40, entered a second career in the insurance and real estate business. He passed away May 11, 1978, in Burton Township of Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the result of a car accident. He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren; three sisters: Irene Rodness and LuElla Stokke of Clarkfield and Mavis Etrheim of Granite Falls, Minnesota; and his brothers: Hanford of Boyd, Minnesota, and Oren, Herbert and Walter of Clarkfield, Minnesota.
