Clawson Hewitt Bennett, 69, of Hanley Falls, Minnesota, died on Tuesday, November 4, 1986, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 1986, at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church of Hanley Falls, Minnesota. Burial was in the East Yellow Medicine Lutheran Cemetery, with dedication of grave given by Reed Whitehead. Pallbearers were Clawson, Michael, Robert, Dallin and Linden Bennett, Cory and John Lindstrom, John and James Roberts. Conducting services was President David M. Gardner, opening prayer by Bryant Bennett, Eulogy by Randall Bennett, talk by L. D. Andrews and closing prayer by Gary Bennett. Organist was Cindy Buer, chorester was Sandra Sabbe, and soloist was M. Michael Suzuki. He was born in Shelley, Idaho, on July 17, 1917, to Stephen N. and Pearl (Clawson) Bennett. His first wife, Elma, died in November of 1981. In August of 1982 he married Margaret Roberts. He was a former city councilman and a former presiding elder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints. He was owner of Southwest Bus Sales in Hanley Falls. Surviviors include his wife, Margaret; daughters, Mrs. Klerice Lindstrom of Hanley Falls, Mrs. Christine Kruger of Litchfield, Illinois, and Mrs. Sandra Lee Sabbe of Granada Hills, California; sons, Linden R. of Litchfield, Illinois, Gary H. of Granite Falls, Minnesota, and Randall P. of Hanley Falls; brother, Bryant of Los Angeles, California, and sister Mrs. Reed Whitehead of Pocatello, Idaho; 22 granchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, his parents, one brother and two sisters. Arrangements by Lynner Funeral Home Since 1891 Clarkfield Minnesota
