Clarence Oliver Wilson was born in Stony Run Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, on March 13, 1883, to Christ and Christine Wilson. He was baptized in Bergen Lutheran Church on March 26, 1883, and confirmed there on July 3, 1898. On September 22, 1907, he was united in marriage to Tilda Kjelleberg, at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church, Hanley Falls, Minnesota, by Pastor Ole J. Lokensgaard. He lived most of his life on the farm, except when visiting his children these later years. On the afternoon of Monday, October 9, 1961, at the age of 78, he met sudden death from electrocution while working on his farm. Surviving are three sons and four daughters: Kenneth of Granite Falls, Minnesota, Chester of Dayton, Ohio, Arnold of Herosa Beach, California, Myrtle (Mrs. Adian Dahl) of Moorhead, Minnesota, Pearl (Mrs. Richard O'Neill) of San Diego, California, Thelma (Mrs. Morris Volstad) of Minneapolis, and Ann (Mrs. D.L. Frederick) of Fairborn, Ohio. There are two sisters: Mrs. Laura Thomton and Mrs. B.T. Barraclough, both of Minneapolis; fourteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Preceding Mr. Wilson in death were his parents; his wife, Tilda (April 17, 1947); a daughter Alva (Mrs. Clifford Lynne) in August, 1960; three sisters: Hilda (Mrs. Oscar Thomton), Alice (Mrs. Albert Landahl) and Christine, who died in infancy.
