Clarence Theodore Quammen was born January 18, 1910, in Ten Mile Lake Township, Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota, to Theodore and Mella (Johnson) Quammen. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Petri Lutheran Church. Clarence married Charlotte Runyon, at the home of Charlotte's parents in Clarkfield, Minnesota, on May 20, 1936. Clarence died May 8, 1992 at Luther Haven Nursing Home at the age of 82. Clarence farmed for many years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd and enjoyed singing in the Church choir and the Male Chorus. Clarence is survived by his sisters, Mildred (Carl) Hanson of Milan, Minnesota, Evelyn (Albert) Anderson of Mount Clemens, Michigan, Edna Johnson of Richfield, Minnesota, Hazel (Russell) Quenemoen of Montevideo, Minnesota, Doris Fenske of Elk Grove, California; and brothers, Milford Quammen of Long Lake, Minnesota and Wendell Quammen of Maryville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Charlotte, in April of 1991 and one brother Orris Quammen.
