Clarence Berkie Maursetter was born at Clarkfield, Minnesota, on July 9, 1905. His parents were Rasmus J. and Sena (Harvey) Maursetter. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church on August 6, 1905, by Rev. J.B. Reinertson and confirmed on June 22, 1919, by Rev. O.T. Storaasli. Berkie attended the Clarkfield elementary and high schools. He had worked at various jobs: for the M & SL railroad on the section, as a plumber in Clarkfield, in a tire recapping factory in St. Paul, and in the Naval Seabees for two years during World War II in the Hawaiian Islands. Since that time and until his death, he was engaged in farming just north of Clarkfield. On June 21, 1958, he was united in marriage to Miss Dalphine Dartman at the St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Granite Falls, by Richard Bonin. Death came on Friday, January 9, 1970, enroute to Rochester Hospital after a short illness at the age of 64 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Dalphine; one sister and three brothers: Jergon Maursetter of Indianapolis, Indiana, Gifford Maursetter of Clarkfield, Rudella (Mrs. Orville) Jacobson of Grove City, Minnesota, and Richard Einslee Maursetter of Montevideo, Minnesota.
