Obituary

Clarence Kreisel, 94, died March 19, 1989, at the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson, Minnesota. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 1989, from Redeemer Lutheran Church in Boyd, Minnesota, with Pastor Daniel Weise officating. Organist Norma Streich provided music. Casket Bearers were Ernest Fjerkenstad, Merle Hahn, Donald Hutt, Roy Lindblad, Homer Vesta and Ordell Zietlow. Military rites were performed by the Oien Horgen Legion Post No. 198 of Boyd, Minnesota. Final resting place is Trinity Lutheran Cemetery of Boyd, Minnesota. Clarence Carl Kreisel was born December 19, 1894, to August and Bertha (Bahn) Kreisel in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was baptized as an infant on March 10, 1895, at Tyro Lutheran Church, Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. Later he was confirmed at the same church. He attended school in District No. 44. Clarence served his country in World War I. Marjorie Harris and he were married on October 16, 1937, at the Harris farm home near Boyd. Clarence worked for many area farmers during his working years. He served as janitor of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Boyd for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife Marjorie of Boyd; one son Paul and his wife Edie of Eveleth, Minnesota; one brother, Harold of California; two sisters, Florence and Esther both of California; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Pearl Kreisel and Winifred Brown. Arrangements by Lynner Funeral Home Since 1891 Clarkfield Minnesota
