Clarence H. Haroldson was born February 2, 1914, in Swede Prairie Township of Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to Carl and Emma (Jacobson) Haroldson. He was baptized and confirmed at Swede Home Lutheran Church, in rural Clarkfield. He and Olivine Martinson were married November 2, 1940. They farmed near Boyd and later moved to Swede Prairie Township and farmed there until his retirement. He was a member of the Swede Home Lutheran Church and an active member in the National Farmers Organization. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends. Special to him were his grandchildren. He died Saturday, December 22, 2001, at the Luther Haven Care Center in Montevideo, Minnesota. Survivors include his wife Olivine; two sons: Lowell of Mabel, Minnesota, and Lyle of Minneota, Minnesota; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; brothers; his daughter Carolyn; and an infant son.
