Clarence Arthur Lund was born December 23, 1906, to John Lars and Annie Sophia (Weland) Lund in Baxter Township, rural Boyd, Minnesota. He was baptized at Baxter Church and confirmed at Clarkfield Lutheran Church. He attended country school. Clarence farmed all his life and was active on the Boyd Elevator Board as well as Clarkfield Lutheran Church boards. Clarence enjoyed attending antique auctions, visiting with his many friends. He will be well remembered collecting and restoring cast iron implement seats and lately, sewing machine treadles. He swapped implement seats with friends such as Bredon Griffin in Ireland. Clarence died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 7, 1992, at the age of 85, in the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital. Clarence is survived by one brother, Einard Lund of Clarkfield; one sister, Clara Anderson of Willmar; nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leonard and Selmer; and one sister, Esther. Clarence was loved by his entire family, nieces amd nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
