Obituary

Clara Alvina Thompson was born in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota on June 16, 1906 to parents John and Julia (Kittelson) Thompson. She was baptized and confirmed at the St. Lucas Lutheran Church, of which she was a member all her life. Clara attended Grade School and was a graduate of the West Central School in Morris, Minnesota. She lived in Normania Township until 1957, when she moved to Montevideo. She worked at Granite Falls at the Sanitarium and later at Luther Haven and the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital. In 1972 she moved to Brookside Manor at Montevideo and then to Luther Haven. Clara passed away at Luther Haven on Saturday, October 17, 1998 at the age of 92 years, 4 months, and 1 day. She is survived by a cousin, Alice Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother. Blessed be her memory.
