Clara Footh was born August 15, 1910, in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to August and Augusta Tesch. She became a child of God through Baptism on September 25, 1910, at Oshkosh Lutheran Church. Clara was confirmed in the teachings of the Christian faith on April 15, 1923, here at St. John's, Omro Township. On November 16, 1927, Clara became the wife of Alfred Footh. They were married at St. John's, Omro Township. God blessed their marriage with three children. Clara and Alfred farmed in Omro Township area until Alfred's death in 1947. Clara moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she was a member of Pilgrim Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wisconsin Synod. She worked for many years as a manager for Fanny Farmer. Clara was preceded in death, in addition to her husband, by her son, Clifford, and by her infant granddaughter, Sandra Footh. On Sunday morning, September 26, 1999, our Lord summoned Clara out of this life to the joy of heaven at the age of 89 years. Among those who mourn her departure are her daughter Janice Dillon with husband Herb; her son Earl with wife Marilyn; her daughter-in-law Shirley; seven grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; with other relatives and friends.
