Mrs. Clara Elvira Friberg was born in Swede Prairie Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, February 23, 1891, the daughter of Bengt and Anna Nelson. She was baptized in infancy by Rev. B.F. Bengtson and confirmed November 26, 1905, in the Lutheran faith in the Swede Home Lutheran Church by Rev. C.E. Shaleen. On February 26, 1919, she was united in marriage to Frank J. Friberg by Rev. E.O. Valberg. To this union two sons were born, namely, Elroy and Virgil, both of Clarkfield. The couple lived on their farm in Tyro Township untiul eight years ago, in June 1950, when they retired and moved to their home in Clarkfield. Mrs. Friberg passed away January 15, 1958, at the Granite Falls Hospital, Granite Falls, Minnesota, at the age of 66 years. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, her two sons, one daughter-in-law, Leora, one granddaughter, Claire Ann; three sisters: Sophie (Mrs. William Larson), Hilda and Emily and two brothers, Edward and Albert, all of Minneota, Minnesota, besides a host of relatives and friends.
