Mrs. Clara Sirine Martinson was born on September 26, 1887, in Westerheim Township, Lyon County, Minnesota, the daughter of Ole and Siri (Thon) Kompelien. She was baptized by Pastor Thorstensen and confirmed by Pastor Romstad in St. Lucas Lutheran Church. On June 27, 1914, she was united in marriage to Albert Martinson of Normania Township and to this union, one son, Orrin, was born. In June of 1964, the Martinsons observed their golden wedding anniversary with an open house at St. Lucas Lutheran Church. On Monday, February 7, 1966, she entered the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital and underwent surgery on Wednesday, February 9th. She entered eternal rest on Monday, February 14, 1966, at the age of 78 years. She is survived by her husband, Albert, and her son, Orrin, at home; two brothers, Theodore Kompelien and Otto Kompelien, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and three sisters. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
