Christine Brusven was born June 21, 1882, in Lincoln County, Minnesota, the daughter of Berger and Carrie (Rowberg) Johnson. She passed away July 23, 1955, at the Madison Old Peoples Home, Madison, Minnesota, at the age of 73 years. On December 31, 1908, she was united in marriage to Haakon Brusven. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters and two brothers. Most of her life was spent in Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, except for ten years, when she resided at Montevideo, Minnesota, until her health began failing. She entered the Madison Old Peoples Home, June 28, 1951. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Amanda Grudem of Minneapolis; four brothers: Julius and Charlie of Minneota, Minnesota, Alfred of Cottonwood, Minnesota, and Herbert of Montevideo, Minnesota; one step son and three step daughters.
