Chester Arthur Wilson was born January 7, 1893, in Hazel Run Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, of parents Gulick C. Wilson and Neila (Halvorson) Wilson. He was baptized by Rev. Salhus and grew to manhood on his parents' farm southeast of Hazel Run. Chester moved to Hazel Run with his parents in 1924 and lived there until in 1948 when he moved to Granite Falls where he resided until his death. He clearked in hardware and grocery stores in Hazel Run for many years. Because of poor health most of his life, he was in and out of the hospitals frequently and continuously the last seven months. On Friday morning, January 19, 1968, he lapsed into a coma early in the morning and passed away quietly about three o'clock in the afternoon at the age of 75 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. He leaves to mourn his passing, two brothers, Melvin and Earl, both of Granite Falls; two nieces and one nephew and a host of friends.
