Cesyl Jerome Westre, 47, of Clarkfield, Minnesota, died Monday morning, October 7, 1985, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, Minnesota, following an accident Saturday afternoon in Marshall, Minnesota. Services were 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 9, 1985, at St. Isidore Catholic Church (in the Clarkfield Methodist Church Building) with Rev. John Leonard Berg officiating. The soloist was Jerome Kosbab with organist Sharon Homan. Casket Bearers were Charles Heimark, Vernon Johnson, Mickey McCoy, Terry Mensink, Wayne Viessman and Sherman Winson. Final Resting Place is the Clarkfield City Cemetery, Clarkfield, Minnesota. He was born September 20, 1938, in Clarkfield to Walter and Pheme (Thornton) Westre. He was baptized and confirmed in the Clarkfield Lutheran Church and was a lifetime resident of the Clarkfield Community. He graduated from Clarkfield High School and attended South Dakota State University in Brookings. On June 28, 1961, he married Darlene Weber of St. Leo, Minnesota, in the Church of St. Mary in Cottonwood, Minnesota. They had two children, Michael and Jody. He was the owner of Westre Trucking Company and dispatcher for Viessman Trucking Company. He also was a member of the Clarkfield Fire Department, Civic and Commerce and Sportsmans Club. He is survived by wife Darlene; son Michael; daughter Jody; daughter-in-law Sally; grandchildren Tracie and Angela; brother Earl and wife Sonja; nephew Peter and niece Ann.
