Celia H. Mauland, who passed away February 2, 1974, was buried at St. Lucas Cemetery of Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, following funeral services Tuesday, February 5, 1974, at St. Lucas Lutheran Church, Rev. Dean Fodness officiating. Organist was Mrs. Larry Stensrud, Mrs. Kenneth Pehrson Jr. and Mr. Henry Broughton rendered a vocal duet. Casket Bearers were Robert Benson, Duane Danielson, James Huso, Burt Mauland, Gene Miller and Bill Weinhold. Cecelia Henriette Mauland, the daughter of Hans and Marie (Reishus) Miller, was born in Swede Prairie Township on June 27, 1902. She was baptized and confirmed by Pastor Romstad in St. Lucas Lutheran Church where she has been a lifelong member. On March 16, 1932, she married Conrad Mauland. They moved to a farm in Vallers Township of Lyon County, Minnnesota, where they made their home until her death, Saturday morning, February 2, 1974, at the Granite Falls Hospital. Survivors include her husband, a daughter Beulah, and five grandchildren, Wesley, Teresa, Dennis, Loren, and Lorinda, one sister, Delia, three nieces and two nephews.
