Catherine Agnes Johnston was born February 17, 1886, to parents Joseph and Mary Ann (Ryan) Taylor at Coffne Grove, Iowa. On October 29, 1907, she married Arthur Johnston. In 1916 they moved to Canby, Minnesota, and in 1922 to Boyd, Minnesota. Her husband passed away suddenly on March 9, 1959. She then moved to Mason City, Iowa, and lived with her sister, Mayme Shepherd. Later, she moved to St. Paul, Minnesota, where she made her home with Mrs. Lenora McArdle until she entered the Lake Ridge Nursing Home in St. Paul in July of 1969. On Wednesday, February 11, 1970, she suffered a stroke and passed away on February 14, 1970. Left to mourn her departure are one sister, Mrs. Lillian Buller of St. Joseph, Missouri; two nieces and two nephews and many friends in the Boyd and Clarkfield area. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
