IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carrie (Erickson)
Hagan
February 25, 1865 – February 19, 1950
Mrs. Peter M. Hagan, formerly of Friendship Township, passed away suddenly at her home in Clarkfield, February 19, 1950. Carrie Erickson was born February 25, 1865, in Solar, Norway. In her infancy, she came to America with her parents, Eberhardt and Maren (Knutson) Erickson and settled near Arkdale, Wisconsin, where she lived until her marriage to Frank Isaacs of Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, in 1889. After Mr. Isaac's death in 1891 she returned to Wisconsin, where in 1893 she married Peter M. Hagan of Necedah, Wisconsin. Three years later they moved to Hazel Run, Minnesota, where they lived until death came to Mr. Hagan in 1936. To this union four children were born: Edgar of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Minnie of Arlington, Virginia, Mrs. S.H. Odden of Hazel Run, and Alice, with whom she established a home in Clarkfield in 1939. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Mathilda Burlingham of San Francisco, California; and a brother, Jacob Erickson, who shared her home; sixteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Three brothers and four sisters have preceded her in death. Besides being a devoted mother, Mrs. Hagan was deeply religious, church and her God being her first love. She was active in church work, ladies aid and Missionary work was uppermost in her thoughts. She was also active in civic affairs always ready to lend a helping hand where needed. She was of a kind and cheerful disposition which won for her a host of friends.
