She was baptized into the Lutheran faith on February 27, 1870, at the Elstad Norwegian Evangelical Lutheran Church by Rev. Kristian Magelsson. She also has three step-children: Myrtle (Mrs. Jergon Maursetter) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Olymphia (Mrs. Ralph Boss) and Elaster Moen, both of Clarkfield. Mrs. Moen lived fifty-one years on the Moen farm at the edge of Clarkfield which is operated by her son, Elaster. The last four years she has lived with her daughter, Eleanor, at the Richard Maursetter home in Montevideo. She had unusually good health all her life. She was taken ill on Thrusday morning and passed away Saturday morning, May 23, 1964, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital at the age of 94 years. Preceding her in death were her husband, who died on his 90th birthday, August 13, 1956; her parents; one sister, Ingeborg (Mrs. Mons Anderson); and a brother, Anton Rexstad.
