Caroline Esther Galow, 85, died on Friday, March 2, 1990 at the Granite Manor, Granite Falls, Minnesota. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 5, 1990, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, with Pastor Joseph Schlawin officiating. Organist was her niece, Mrs. James (Karen) Mamer. Casket Bearers were grandsons, Randy Pierce, Ross Galow, Richard Anderson and Mark Warmuth and nephews, Myron Anholt and Earl Footh. Final Resting Place was in the St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church Cemetery. Caroline was born November 18, 1904, to Fred E. and Auguste (Schulz) Footh, near St. Leo, Minnesota. She was baptized and later was confirmed in 1918 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Omro Township. On June 15, 1927, she was united in marriage to Walter Galow. They farmed in Omro Township until moving to Granite Falls in 1960. Two children were born to this union. Caroline was also blessed with seven grandchildren. Caroline was a very thoughtful, kind and generous person and will be missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her husband, Walter; daughter, Deloris and son-in-law Roman Pierce of Iron Mountain, Michigan; son, DuWayne and daughter-in-law Karen of Granite Falls; seven grandchildren, Nancy Anderson of Iron Mountain, Michigan, Jerry Pierce of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Randy Pierce of Iron Mountain, Michigan, Wendy Warmuth of Iron Mountain, Michigan, Pamela Janish of Houston, Texas, and Ross and Jennifer Galow of Granite Falls; ten great grandchildren; three grandsons-in law and two granddaughters-in-law; a sister, Leona Anhalt and brother-in-law Harold Anholt and one sister-in-law Helen Footh of Clarkfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Walter Footh and Irvin Footh who died in infancy and a great graddaughter, Chelsey Pierce.
