Obituary

Mrs. Caroline Carlson passed away Friday evening, May 3, 1957, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital at the age of 73 years. She became suddenly ill the previous Sunday, which later developed into a brain hemorrhage. Caroline Carlson was born August 6th, 1883, the daughter of Hans and Ingeborg (Quam) Christensen in Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in Spring Creek Lutheran Church of which she was a member at the time of her death. On March 20, 1909, she was united in marriage to John Calrlson of Renville, Minnesota. They lived in Swede Prairie Township, Yellow Medicine County, until 1918, when they moved to their farm in Manitoba, Canada. After adverse conditions, they decided to move back to the Clarkfield community where she lived the remainder of her life. Mrs. Carlson is survived by her five children, namely Ingeborg (Mrs. Clifford Olson), Frances (Mrs. Arthur Werner) both of Granite Falls, Minnesota, Viola (Mrs. Ruben Loose) of Montevideo, Minnesota, Howard and Stanley at home; five grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Ida Anderson of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, Mrs. John Ford of Clarkfield and Mrs. Anna Lee of Madison, Minnesota; and two brothers: Herman and John Christensen of Clarkfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Clayton, her parents and three brothers. She was a devoted and loving mother and a wonderful homemaker. She will be especially missed by her children and grandchildren as she has been an anchor in the home. Blessed be her memory. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
