Reuben C. Peterson, 92, of Clarkfield, Minnesota, died Saturday, June 14, 1986, in Clarkfield, Minnesota. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, 1986, at the Augustana Lutheran Church of Clarkfield with Pastor Ralph B. Belin officiating. Organist was Kathy Jahn. Vocal music by Brian Peterson, "The Lord's Prayer" and "What God Ordains." Congregational Hymns were "Children of the Heavenly Father" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus." Casket Bearers were Arthur, Jewell and Merril Anderson, Oliver Erie, Richard Peterson and Kenneth Sandstrom. Final Resting Place is the Fridhem Cemetery of Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He married Ella J. Rudell at Holmes City, Minnesota on December 31, 1919, by Rev. Bergstrom. They lived at Harcourt, Iowa for a year and moved to their farm in Tyro Township, rural Clarkfield. In January of 1966 they moved to their home in Clarkfield. Reuben resided there until entering the Clarkfield Care Center in December of 1984. He is survived by sons, Gailan of Canby, Minnesota, and Dale of Montevideo, Minnesota; daughters, Ariel Steen of Minnetonka, Minnesota and Lorinne Mikelson of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters and one brother. Preceeding him in death were his parents, his wife, two sisters and three brothers.
