Last rites for Mr. Karl Koffel, 77 year old Lisbon pioneer, were held at Bergen Church Saturday, November 15, 1952, 2:30 p.m., Rev. A.N. Olson, officiating. Mr. Koffell passed away at the State Hospital in Willmar after a lingering illness. Pallbearers were Bert and Carl Hauge, Gust Christopherson, Olaus Kirkeby, William Nelson and T.V. Oraas. Interment was made in the Bergen cemetery. Carl Koffel was the son of Hans Edward Koffel and Karen (Larson) Koffel and the husband of Myrtle Blanche Keever.
