Carl T. Gudmundson, 91, passed away December 3, 1989, at the Devine Providence Hospital of Ivanhoe, Minnesota. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 1989, from the St Paul's Lutheran Church of Minneota, Minnesota with Pastor Robert Lehner officiating. Organist was Wendy Sarazyn with vocal solos by William Holm. Serving as pallbearers were Alan and David Forbes, Howard Hanson, Joe Hoff, Sr., Eugene Isfeld and Leslie Lamb. Burial was in the Westerheim Pioneer Cemetery of Westerheim Township, Lyon County, Minnesota. Carl T. Gudmundson was born January 20, 1898, in Swede Prairie Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the son of Albert and Una (Thorkelson) Gudmundson. He was baptized April 8, 1898, and later confirmed at the Westerheim Lutheran Church. Carl joined the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Minneota, Minnesota, after the Westerheim Church closed. Carl attended rural school in Yellow Medicine County District 86. He farmed with his brother, Stephen, and lived with his brother and his sister, Christine, on the family farm until retirement. Carl married Agnes Weber on April 22, 1972. They lived in Minneota and Marshall, Minnesota, until he entered the Devine Providence Home of Ivanhoe in October of 1985. His wife, Agnes, passed away on March 30, 1987. Carl is survived by five stepsons, six stepdaughters, seven nieces and two nephews.
