Bruce William Weinhold was born on December 3, 1908, near Marshall, Minnesota, to Martin and Minnie (Brewster) Weinhold. His father died when he was 7 months old. His mother remarried. He was raised by his stepfather, Frank Hornberger. He was baptized at the Presbyterian Church in Cottonwood, Minnesota. He attended a rural Cottonwood School, later attending the Cottonwood Public School. He moved to his present home in 1912 and resided there the rest of his life. He was united in marriage with Stella Peterson on March 8, 1942. To this union the following children were born: Donna, David, William, Merlin, Marian, Nancy and Becky. Bruce liked hunting and fishing and spent many hours enjoying the outdoors. Helping his friends and neighbors was something he was always willing to do. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister and brother, brothers George and Clarence and an infant son, David. He is survived by his wife Stella; children: Donna (Mrs. Duane Velde), William, Merlin, Marian (Mrs. Bruce Baumann), Nancy (Mrs. Thomas Timm), and Becky (Mrs. Charles Drown); grandchildren; sister Alice (Mrs. Carl Bratten); and numerous nieces and nephews.
