Bonnie Kopitzke March 18th, 1950 - August 1st, 2016 Bonnie Kopitzke, of Boyd, died Monday, August 1, 2016, at Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall, Minnesota, at the age of 66. Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 4, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd, Minnesota. Rev. Lori Wold will officiate and interment will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church. Arrangements are with Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield. Bonita Kae (Hartfiel) Kopitzke was born March 18, 1950, at Montevideo, Minnesota, the daughter of Lionel and Alyce (Quaal) Hartfiel. She grew up in Boyd and graduated from Boyd High School in 1968. She attended the Stewart School of Hairstyling in Sioux Falls and worked as a beautician in Watertown, South Dakota, and Montevideo, Minnesota. Bonnie was united in marriage with Ronald Kopitzke August 15, 1970. They lived in Montevideo and then in Watson before moving to the farm near Clarkfield in 1980. She always enjoyed farming. Bonnie liked fishing and camping and going to the zoo. She especially enjoyed spending time with friends. She did cross stitch and loved cooking. Bonnie was active at church singing in the choir and serving at funerals. She had been living at Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall since March of 2016. She is survived by two sons: Mark (Mandy) Kopitzke of Clarkfield and Mike (Megan) Kopitzke of Clarkfield; two grandchildren: Trenten and Tanner; and a sister, Donna Hartfiel of Gary, South Dakota. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Ron in 2005. Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church Roof Fund or Avera Marshall Cancer Institute.
