Beverly Ann (Wilson) Thompson was born November 3, 1923, in Hazel Run, Minnesota, the daughter of Gerhardt and Cora Wilson. Following high school she attended a Community College, the University of Minnesota branch. This was followed by a year of teacher training. Beverly taught in rural schools for two years and then attended St. Cloud State University and graduated with a two year elementary teaching certificate. She later went to Mankato State University and completed her degree. Beverly taught twenty-six plus years in elementary education. The last twenty years were in kindergarten. Beverly passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, in Zephyrhills, Florida, at the age of 84 years, 3 months and 10 days. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Peterson of Tampa, Florida; four granddaughters: Alison Glodek, Kate Uselton, Bridget Samuelson and Anne Samuelson; and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters: Ina Risa of Clarkfield, Minnesota, and Elsie Halverson and Avis Monson of Granite Falls, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband John Thompson and sister Shirley Allchin. (Services were held on February 18, 2008 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Dade City, Florida.)
