Betty Arleen Olson was born to parents Fredricka and Peter Olson on May 21, 1924, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended school and graduated from Hanley Falls High School, Hanley Falls, Minnesota, in 1942. She worked for Coast to Coast Company as a furniture buyer in Minneapolis. On August 20, 1960, Betty and Harland Rowberg were united in marriage at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls. Two sons were born to them, Stephen and Michael. Betty was a homemaker; active in WELCA at her church in Hanley Falls, T.O.P.S. and K.O.P.S. Club. She loved to golf, bowl and play cards. Harland and Betty retired from their farm in 1985 and bought a home in Cottonwood, Minnesota. Betty died suddenly at the Granite Falls Hospital, Granite Falls, Minnesota, early Friday, November 19, 1999. She will be greatly missed by her husband Harland; sons Stephen of Omaha, Nebraska, and Michael of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; sisters Evelyn Stone of Olympia, Washington, and Genevieve Walsh of Lakeside, California; many cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fredricka and Peter; brother Clifford and sisters: Erma, Elaine, Bernice and Evadne. Blessed be Betty's memory among us.
