Bessie Henritta Jorgenson was born in Clarkfield, Minnesota, on November 29, 1892, to Olai and Anna (Hanson) Amundson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Clarkfield Lutheran Church where she was a lifelong member. On February 9, 1920, she was united in marriage to Marvin A. Jorgenson. To this union four children were born: Dale, Mabel, Glenn and Dennis. In September 1977, Bessie broke her hip and since then has been a resident of the Clarkfield Care Center. She passed away November 28, 1978, at the Clarkfield Care Center, at the age of 85 years. She is survived by her children: Dale of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, Mabel (Mrs. Ray Miller), Glenn and Dennis, all of Clarkfield; three daughters-in-law; one son-in-law; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one brother, Emil Amundson; one sister, Mary Cornelius of Clarkfield; three sisters- in-law; one brother-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, in 1977; her parents; and seven brothers and sisters. IN MEMORY OF BESSIE H.
